The journey began with an innovative response to a real-life learning challenge. What started as a learning tool became a living project, released, tested and continually improved as new needs, possibilities and features emerged. Every conversation, observation, question and practical experience helped shape its direction and encouraged me to continue evolving it into the International Spelling Bee Ecosystem.
My deepest appreciation goes to you, the early adopters who opened unfinished versions, tested new features, reported problems and helped me refine the software through real-world use. Your advice, criticism and honest opinions did more than improve the product. You helped shape the direction of the entire ecosystem.
When I shared the developing software with friends, family and members of the spelling community, including tutors, teachers, organisers, adjudicators and volunteers, your responses were not always the same, but the belief behind them was clear:

You saw a capable product ready to be shared. I saw the foundation of something much broader. Your confidence confirmed that the foundation was strong and inspired me to work even harder. You saw what the software already was. Your belief encouraged me to build what it could become.
Thank you for testing new controls, trying revised workflows, identifying unclear labels, reporting errors and returning after each update to see what had changed. Thank you for being patient when something did not work as expected and for recognising the potential of the software while it was still developing.
To the spelling community, thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience. You helped ensure that the software was shaped around the real work of helping learners prepare, managing approved words, delivering competitions, presenting live events and preserving reliable evidence.
To my friends and family, thank you for your patience, advice and encouragement. Thank you for the accommodation, office space, equipment, financial assistance and practical support that created room for me to continue working. Some of your contributions became visible in the final product. Others happened quietly in the background. All of them mattered.
To everyone who contributed resources, sponsorship, opportunities or practical assistance, thank you. Your support did more than address immediate needs. It allowed the vision to remain ambitious.
Because you tested, questioned, supported and encouraged the work, the product grew beyond a single spelling activity. You helped make possible an ecosystem that connects learning, preparation, competition delivery, live presentation and reporting.
This milestone is not the end of the journey. It is the beginning of a new chapter.I will continue listening, improving the software, recognising those who contribute and building technology that responds to genuine learning and competition needs.
Many of you have already heard me say thank you in person, but I want these words to remain part of this journey. I want you to know that I remember the advice, the honest criticism, the practical help, the opportunities and the encouragement you gave me. Whether your contribution was visible to others or known only to us, it mattered to me, and it helped me continue.
